

Lee, a freelance theatrical designer and educator, creates and develops entire worlds through lighting and scenery for regional theatre, music, and dance. Lee is a regular Designer and the Resident Lighting Consultant for the Bloomington Playwrights Project after serving as their Resident Lighting Designer for several years. Lee recently attained a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from Indiana University and continues to share her knowledge and experience as an educator at the university level. Lee has designed locally for Indiana University, the Bloomington Playwrights Project, Cardinal Stage Company, Krista Detor, Different Drummer Belly Dancers, Windfall Dancers, and many others. During her tenure in Bloomington, Lee also served as the Resident Designer, Technical Director, and Graphic Designer for the Bloomington Area Arts Council at the John Waldron Performing Arts Center. Prior to her move to Bloomington, Lee worked as the Resident Lighting Designer for the Circuit Playhouse and Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, Tennessee, where she won several Memphis Theatre Awards. She is a member of the United States Institute of Theater Technology (USITT) and the National Society of Arts and Letters. As the Event Manager, Lee also annually coordinates Arts Fair on the Square in downtown Bloomington, a juried art show featuring over 80 regional and national artists.
